I have been impressed with the professional manner in which the school is run. Both teachers I had started and finished every lesson right in time. There was sufficient homework to reinforce the material taught in the lessons but not so much that it would have taken time away from the experience of enjoying Perugia. There was nothing especially novel about the teaching methodology but the immersion method seems to be well-established these days. Both teachers I had, Barbara and Sara, were always very helpful and patient – even with un anziano come me. I hope that one day I will be able to speak Italian reasonably fluently. Thank you all for a very informative and enjoyable learning experience at Comitato Linguistico. I had a lot of fun, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The small numbers of students in classes indicated excellent management and the teaching strategies, too, were excellent. I can highly recommend the school to future prospective students. Accommodation so close to the school was very handy and very spacious and comfortable. I shall miss you all but perhaps I shall have another opportunity one day to visit Perugia and the Comitato Linguistico. -----------------

I utterly enjoyed my week at Comitato Linguistico. When I arrived in Perugia I had no intention of formally studying Italian. But my experience here has made me more interested in it. I taught English as a 2nd language for many years, so I am familiar with teaching methodologies and management of classroom dynamics. The teachers I've had here were masters of both. I was very impressed with their teaching, knowledge, patience and energy. -----------------

I enjoyed my experience in Perugia and at Comitato Linguistico. The small class size was a big advantage, and the enthusiasm and patience of the teachers made the classes enjoyable. The teachers' sense of humour and genuine interest in their students created a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Personally I found the combination of the standard course and private lessons to be most beneficial. -----------------

Comitato Linguistico è la terza scuola dove ho studiato in Italia. Comitato Linguistico è la migliore. Le insegnanti sono bravissime e le classi erano ben organizzate. -----------------

I've had a fantastic time here. The only problem was the weather. But there is nothing the school could do about it!! It has been as I hoped it would be. The warmth of the staff, of the teachers (+ the students) and their help have been greatly appreciated. Perugia is superb and has so much to offer! Concerts, exhibitions etc. The family has been fantastic. I have made new friends + will want to come back!!! -----------------
The school is very well organized, with great teachers who are knowledgeable and very friendly. It is a pleasure to be in their class. The first excursion to Assisi acted as a great ice-breaker of the other students and a good introduction to Italian culture. My host family is fantastic and I have all the freedom I desire. -----------------

It is pitched at the correct level for me. I found it challenging at time but I am so amazed at what I have learnt in 2 weeks. I would highly recommend this course to others. I would also mention how positive an experience it was to live with an Italian family during that time. Perugia itself was okay, pretty in parts, but probably easily exhausted by those who have much time on their hands. A Perugia, quando abbiamo avuto qualche piccolo problema, abbiamo sempre trovato persone che ci hanno aiutato o dato consigli utili. I perugini sono, secondo me, molto cortesi e disponibili. La città è molto interessante, ha luoghi storici d’interesse e offre anche moltissimi eventi culturali. Una bella città! PS: Questo questionario che viene dato alla fine del corso è solo UN indizio che il COMITATO LINGUISTICO è una scuola molto professionale!!! ------------- Die zwei Wochen Unterricht in Perugia haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Möglichkeit in kleinen Gruppen eine Sprache zu erlernen ist einfach gut. Wohltuend empfand ich auch die Pausen im Garten mit dem herrlichen Blick auf die Umgebung von Perugia. Von der Stadt selbst bin ich begeistert.
Alles in allem: eine interessante, gute, wohltuende, erlebnisreiche Zeit – ich werde vielleicht wiederkommen!

Mi piace molto il modo di insegnamento, perché le lezioni sono preparate in modo divertente e basate su un livello amichevole. Così appena sono arrivato a scuola mi sono sentito in un ambiente familiare. Se io viaggio in Umbria sono sicuro che farò una visita!!! -------------- Having visited Siena and Firenze nearby, I am in no doubt that Perugia is the best place in which to learn Italian. I came to Italy to be amongst Italians, not tourists, and Perugia certainly presents this experience. Regarding the school, I have enjoyed the month very much. We had a good balance in the class between humour and study: the international mix made for interesting conversation and exchange of opinions. For me to have got the best from the month in terms of learning Italian I would have preferred some of the tuition, particularly on complex issues of grammar, to have been in English. I do appreciate, however, that not all the students speak English.
I would not hesitate to recommend the school to others: it has struck a good balance between study, fun, culture; between a relaxed atmosphere in which studious application is possible, and a recognition that people seek reward from their efforts. I would return! -------------- I came to Italy because I love the Italian culture and language and I have also studied Italian in my own country. I had individual lessons and the teachers at the school were excellent. All my lessons were very good and even though I made many errors, the teachers were always very patient and helpful with me. In particular the grammar lessons were helpful and useful to me. I choose the school as I wanted to stay in Perugia. I am very happy that I came to Perugia as it’s not too big or too small and is also very safe. ------------- We attended individual lessons because as teachers for children with language disorders we needed a course specifically designed for our job. Our teacher was very well informed and had prepared a lot of interesting material. We learned to speak confidently in Italian and how to use the specific terminology correctly in meetings with colleagues and parents. ------------- Das Kursangebot der Schule (traduzione, conversazione) enspricht meinen aktuellen Bedürfnissen. Die Übersetzungstexte waren dem Niveau angepaßt, interessant und aktuell. Unsere Lehrerin war sehr gut vorbereitet, die Verbesserungen waren klar nachvollziehbar und hilfreich. Der Grammatikteil setzte klare Schwerpunkte, die auf unsere Schwierigkeiten bezogen waren. In den Konversationsstunden hatten wir die Möglichkeit, viel zu sprechen und interessante Diskussionen zu führen. -------------- I came to Italy because I like the Italian language and culture. The lessons were all excellent as were the teachers. I also participated in the school activities which were interesting. I came to Comitato Linguistico because my mother came here 10 years ago and advised me of how good a school it is and as she enjoyed her time here thought it could be the same for me. --------------- I came to Italy to study Italian because I love the language and the culture and to further the studies I had done in my own country. I found all the lessons excellent – grammar, the text books and conversation as well as the teachers. I had the possibility of talking a lot in class and practicing the language which helped me to improve my conversation. I came to Perugia as I had a friend living here who advised me of the school and I left feeling I had made the right choice. I had a great time at the school. Qualche settimana prima di arrivare a Perugia abbiamo comunicato alla scuola il programma da svolgere e loro ci hanno organizzato un corso monografico su Goldoni. Ora grazie alla nostra insegnante ci sentiamo ben preparate per il nostro esame e molto più vicine alla letteratura italiana. -----------------
I felt that I was taking something of a risk coming to Perugia, as I chose it as a place to study simply because a friend of the family recommended it. However, as I write this sitting in the spring sunshine and looking at an exquisite view of the Umbrian countryside, I feel I have definitely made a good decision! I would recommend Perugia to anyone interested in studying Italian at any level, as the school with its emphasis on personal service will certainly be able to accommodate you. I have learnt so much in just two weeks: not only grammar and conversation, but culturally too. Perugia is a beautiful place with a great school managed by delightful people. I really enjoyed my month at the school and I learnt a great deal. All the teachers are great, they are friendly and approachable. The small classes are great and I think I learnt a lot more because of that (...). I also enjoyed participating in the variety of activities offered by the school – the activities are an important part of learning the Italian language and also engaging with the culture and with Perugia itself. All in all I had a fantastic time, I made lots of new friends and I managed to learn Italian at the same time! I would definitely recommend COMITATO LINGUISTICO to other people interested in learning Italian. -----------------
Die Schule hat mir sehr gut gefallen, ich hatte das Gefühl, in einer großen Familie zu sein. Die Tatsache, dass wir von drei verschiedenen Lehrern betreut wurden, hat uns auch die Sprache unter drei verschiedenen Aspekten näher gebracht.
