The COMITATO LINGUISTICO was founded in 1986 under the name “Sprachkomitee” , and its primary objective was initially the teaching of German Language and Culture in collaboration with the German Foreign Ministry and the German Embassy in Rome.
Later the name was changed to “Comitato Linguistico” , and the organisation initially specialised in cultural exchanges withGermany and courses in Italian for German speaking members of the association.
Soon the courses were opened to participants of all nationalities. Since then over 40 different nationalities have attended our courses, from Alaska to Vietnam. Our students have included not only university students, but also employees, missionaries and senior citizens.
