Guided tour of Perugia with welcome aperitif
Thanks to this tour we will discover the most characteristic and pleasent corners of this beautiful city. Togheter we will enjoy it’s smart and international atmosphere relishing an aperitif in front of a magnificent panorama.
TUESDAY
Typical Umbrian cooking class
Learn how to make delicious Umbrian regional specialties with a master chef and enjoy the many interesting dishes created together. The program provides a general cooking course designed to teach the basic skills necessary to prepare authentic Umbrian dishes. Students, together with the cooking teacher, prepare a complete menu.
After cooking, the students and teacher enjoy the meal they have cooked in a convivial atmosphere, tasting wines and liqueurs.
WEDNESDAY
Art seminar with slides – “Giotto and the origin of modern painting with frescoes of Assisi”
Giotto is considered the first in a line of great artists who contributed to the Italian
Renaissance. Giotto made a decisive break with the prevalent Byzantine style and as initiating “the great art of painting as we know it today, introducing the technique of drawing accurately from life, which had been neglected for more than two hundred years.”
THURSDAY
Trip to Assisi with city’s guided tour
See the famous monuments of Assisi on a walking tour of the Old Town, and discover Roman ruins, medieval stone houses, and magnificent frescoes. Tour the historic Basilica of St. Francis, and enjoy panoramic views of Monte Subasio.
FRIDAY
Trip to Montefalco, visit to Tiburzi’s cellars and wine tasting.
You will have a guided visit to the vineyard and a chance to taste the delicious wines and delicatessen while enjoying the view of the surrounding countryside.
The Gustavo Tiburzi winery (farm) is situated in Montefalco, home of the Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG.
SATURDAY
Trip to Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio and Bolsena Lake
A trip to the land of the Etruscans, between towns rich in history and ancient ruins, beautiful landscapes and bodies of crystalline water.
Enjoy Bolsena Lake, the biggest crater lake of volcanic origin in Europe; discover Orvieto, one of the most dramatic hill towns in Italy, perched on a plateau atop huge tufa cliffs. Orvieto has a stunning Duomo(cathedral) and its monuments and museums cover millennia of history starting with the Etruscans.
Civita di Bagnoregio, or the Dying City, can only be reached via a long upward-
sloping footbridge, made of cement and high off the ground. Civita is at least 3000 years old and may be considered a true open-air museum. It is a pleasure to walk through its picturesque streets and ancient buildings.

Guided tour to Perugina Chocolate Factory with chocolate tasting
Perugina is the home of the famous “Baci” and it’s an extraordinary place where visitors can discover all there is to know and love about the pleasures of chocolate. It is the Perugina Casa del Cioccolato. Opened in 2007 on Perugina’s centennial anniversary, Casa del Cioccolato fascinates visitors from far and wide. CNN named the Casa del Cioccolato one of the top five destinations for chocolate lovers and The New York Times listed Casa del Cioccolato as must see for anyone visiting Perugina.
TUESDAY
Trip to Norcia and Castelluccio di Norcia, guided tour of the area and lunch of typical local products: truffle, cheese, sausages
The area is known for its air and scenery, and is a base for mountaineering and hiking. It is also widely known for hunting, especially of the wild boar, and for sausages and ham made from wild boar and pork. Such products have been named after Norcia; in Italian, they are called norcineria.
WEDNSDAY
Guided visit to the hand-weaving workshop
An exciting and unique journey through time in the name of tradition.
“Giuditta Brozzetti” hand-weaving workshop is located inside the charming Church of San Francesco delle Donne in Perugia. The workshop is of historic importance for the city of Perugia as it was created by Giuditta Brozzetti in 1921 and has since been producing patterned fabrics reminiscent of the great Medieval and Renaissance textile tradition in Italy and Umbria in particular.
THURSDAY
Trip to Solomeo and guided visit (and shopping) to Cucinelli Factory of cashemere
Apart from being very lovely, Solomeo is fascinating because the whole village is a cashmere factory, and the village is owned almost completely by this one family company.
You can visit the Brunello Cucinelli Cashmere company headquarters and workshops, which are found inside a renovated 14th century castle. Brunello Cucinelli makes some of the highest quality cashmere in the world; he has renovated this medieval village of approximately 400 people, a large number whom work for his company.
FRIDAY
Trip to Trasimeno Lake and to Isola Maggiore to discover lace crafts
Trip to Isola Maggiore, the second largest island on Trasimeno Lake, known for the amazing Irish lace work. This traditional was introduced to Isola Maggiore in the early 1900s.
The women of Isola Maggiore picked up this intricate craft easily because of their experience weaving and mending fishing nets, which also required extreme precision. The openwork lace designs are made using a very thin steel crochet hook and fine cotton or linen thread.
